Appalachian folk medicine is a strange, beautiful and important part of Appalachian history and holds the stories of not just want ails its people but how different groups now called Appalachian faced these challenges. Part herbalism and part history, we will explore the foundation and formation of Appalachian Folk Medicine and its origins, some important herbs to the tradition and how it still persists today.
