We forage for food everyday for ourselves and after folks have reached out to us and asked about getting access to these foods, this is the solution a dear friend proposed. We encourage the washing of all produce just to be safe, but promise to never harvest or process plants while experiencing illness symptoms of any kind.
This is a week by week share, so you do not have to commit to a whole season. It is 35-55$ sliding scale for each week's share.
Every Saturday, you arrive at our pick up location in Barnardsville (which will be emailed to you upon purchase) to pick up your box, which will be loaded with a variety of 10-12 wild foraged foods and medicines. You'll find your box at our pick up tent so that you can come and go from your vehicle safely to pick up. Pick up hours are 12 pm to 6 pm.
Included are labels for each wild foraged delight as well as a short description of how to prepare/recipe ideas. Some medicinal plants shall be included as well.
We never know what this beautiful region has available so each week is a surprise of seasonal, wild bioregional foods. We never harvest rare, at risk or culturally significant plants that we do not grow ourselves. We also include dried and preserved spices, syrups and other delights. We hope that this is one more way for more folks to grow closer to our bioregion.
You'll also have the option to add on medicines from our apothecary. Just let us know in the form below what else you'd like to be in your box!

By focusing on invasives, abundant plant communities and growing some wild foods ourselves, we hope to add to the conversation about what ethical foraging means and looks like. This also means we endeavor to raise funds to create more free foraging classes to help spread access and support people in interacting with the land in good ways. We live in endless gratitude to the ones who paved the path for us to be able to eat from the land, and we stand open to continued learning about how to be humans who live better on this Land. Thank you for feeling into this message and opening yourself to understanding the long and painful history of land access and plant knowledge on this continent.

1. Why Wild Foods?
We eat wild foods for a variety of reasons. Health, sustainability, joy, and necessity. Check out this great write up by some people we admire, Gather Victoria.
2. Is foraging sustainable? Aren't we hurting the Earth or wildlife by taking wild plants?
My friend and former employer Alan Muskat sums it up beautifully.
3.What will I get each week and why can't I know ahead of time?
Foragers can't be choosers. One of the joys of foraging is the surprise of what is in season, and how abundant it is. We choose each week what to share depending on weather, abundance, and quality of different things. We also make choices to focus on locally abundant, generally non-native plants. We also cultivate some wild plants on our farm.
4. How will I know how to prepare these things?
We give you recipe ideas in an email included with your box!
